The ABC’s of Me

I got this from a raw food blog that I love to read. Enjoy.

The ABC’s of Me:

A. Age: 30. Soon to be 30 +1

B. Bed size: Double.  Not big enough

C. Chore you dislike: Dishes. Yuck.

D. Dogs: Todd has a dog named Bear. I guess that makes me have a Dog Bear too.

E. Essential start to your day: Breakfast. I’m a cranky pants without it.

F. Favorite colors: Red!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

G. Gold or silver: I used to be a strictly silver girl but gold is growing on me. My engagement ring is gold and I love it.

H. Height: 5’5″. Too tall to be petite, too short to wear pants without destroying the bottoms (it drives my friend Dasiy nutty).

I. Instruments you play(ed): Piano – 11 years. Flute – 7 years.

J. Job title: Photographer. Payment Processor (for one more month). Dance teacher (starting next week!!! yay!!!!)

K. Kids: Are fun for an hour and then you give them back.

L. Live: Victoria, the most gorgeous city on earth.

M. Mom’s name: Jacqueline. Goes by Jackie. Don’t call her Jack. Seriously.

N. Nicknames: Share-bear, Blueberry, Baybay puss (don’t ask), Sushi rice (again, don’t ask), Lub (yes, I have weird names).

O. Overnight hospital stays: Once when I was little.

P. Pet peeves: People who stop walking right in front of you. Whining. Finger cracking.

Q. Quote from a movie: The Princess Bride.

Vizzini – He didn’t fall? INCONCEIVABLE.

Inigo Montoya – You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

R. Righty or lefty: Right with left handed tendencies.

S. Siblings: One sister, two half brothers.

T. Time you wake up: Unfortunately around 5ish. Far too early for any sane person.

U. Underwear: Yes i wear them.

V. Vegetables you don’t like: Brussel Sprouts. Yick.

W. What makes you run late: Forgetting things at my house.

X. X-rays you’ve had: My broken toe, my fractured leg and one strange X-ray in Japan for a physical that required me to stand infront of the x-ray maching with a crocheted hat on my head. Oh, and my teeth.

Y. Yummy food you make: I don’t make much but I do make a mean stirfry (yes I know it’s the easiest thing to make).

Z. Zoo animal you like: Lions. Monkeys. Chimps. I like animals! The baby orangutan in the zoo in Tokyo was the cutest thing EVER!

Greetings From Lithuania

I have been MIA on this blog for 2 weeks. Even after promising myself I would post consitently (but notice, no actual time frames lol)!

The reason for my absence is the fact that I’m not in Canada. I’m not even in North America!

Lithuania. Boom!

See, I’m a photographer. I love it. But I also have another job and I’m here in Lithuania to work. I’ve gone to a castle, seen the horrors of the KGB (so sad), journeyed to Latvia, stepped in the Baltic sea and taken a hot air balloon ride (oh and worked a bit!). Made me snap happy? Absolutely!

Expect a photographic essay very soon.

Lithuania is an interesting place. Part old school Europe (Lithuania is about 1000 years old! wow!), and part Soviet. It sure is weird to have a beautiful ornate medevial church next to a run down concrete box of an apartment building. The people are very nice and friendly (and most speak English). I don’t drink beer but I’ve been told it’s good, cheap and plentiful. And the amber! Oh the amber… I’m going to introduce the amber to my bank account very soon.

I’m leaving on Saturday. As beautiful as Lithuania is, I’m ready to go home. Workcations are not the same as vacations. There is not alot of frollicking to be had during the hours of 9-6 when you sit in an office.

Alas. I do love to frollick.

One thing I do know for sure – my travel bug, which has lay quiet for so long, has woken up.

Uh oh!:)
